Great movie, which you will love if you liked the Matrix. It displays humanity as merely a playtoy for a reality that background forces rig, again and again and again. In many ways, it has the elements of the matrix, but without an anonymous computer entity behind it. Of course, this makes sense, since "Dark City" came out before the Matrix. It is more artistically done, and has less fighting scenes than the Matrix. More film noir than slick rock concert. But definitely a classic everyone should see.
