Interesting premise for a movie. Female Soviet soldier (yeah, not entirely realistic), Chinese peasant, and Jap teenager are forced to assist each other to survive following the Soviet invasion of Manchuria at the end of the war, in spite of language barrier and distrust. Anti war sentiment is strong with this one, as is a hint of anti-Japan, but that is to be expected with anything coming out of China. Worth a watch.
