The View host says ‘normalcy is back’ at the Oscars: ‘That dog was better behaved than Will Smith’

The View co-host Ana Navarro suggested that Sunday night’s 96th Academy Awards was an example of the award ceremony getting back to normal.

Navarro’s comment on Monday referenced the dramatic 2022 incident of actor Will Smith slapping comedian Chris Rock for snarky remarks about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair.

“I thought it was pretty ho-hum but good. Nobody got slapped. It was like, ‘OK, normalcy is back,'” Navarro said.

Co-host Sunny Hostin commented about the border collie in attendance named Messi from the nominated film Anatomy of a Fall, and Navarro compared Smith to the dog.

“That dog was better behaved than Will Smith,” Navarro joked.
