Was told to watch this series by a family friend and was a bit hesitant since a lot of historical pieces are being ruined like having a black queen or just minorities being in power. But I was actually surprised by how much I liked this series. A lot of the storyline is accurate to the real history of Louis the XIV.
The 3rd season isn't as good as the first two but The drama almost reminds me of Game of Thrones but luckily doesn’t get too woke.
My only warning is that Philippe and Chevalier are a gay couple who get a lot of screen time in the first two seasons. Apparently it was historically accurate which isn't a surprise since French ppl are so degenerate, but tbh I loved their love story. And it was the main reason the show was so popular.
