The intention is to make men understand what going through pregnancy is like, but since pregnant men are not gonna get pregnant anytime soon, the attempt make no sense.

Even if the intention might be to generate sympathies, which might be good btw, the very idea of a man getting pregnant is somewhat discomforting. I can think of 10 other ways to accomplish the job.
