Found this music video compilation a while ago on YouTube, when I tried to look it up again it was gone, but luckily it could be watched on other sites. Basically its several of Depeche Modes early music video's created by Anton Corbijn, who is know for his classy black-and-white video's and his wonderful short symbolic video edits, that flow well with the music. Is there and overal theme? I am not sure, Depeche Mode's music usually has a theme of vice and sin, I think Corbijn was trying to depict the passage of time, see the babies in the opening screen, the prostitute versus the wise old man, the breaking of the museum at the end. Two examples of music video's in this compilation are Strangelove , which I assume deals with a man's addiction to sex and prostitution, the two woman I assume based on their eyes and body language are real prostitutes, and the darker more somber Never Let Me Down Again, which I think deals with drug addiction or isolation? I know this is one of several such compilation, I may plan to check out the others as well.
