Great show, at first . could have been amazing if the writers had followed the authors style of writing. When it first starts off most characters are either children or they are in a grey area moraly. you root for the clans you like and hope your favorite characters aren't stabbed in the back or killed in public.  set low fantasy until later seasons. there is drama, love, sex, and political intrigue, murder,  it is a great show till about season 6 in my opinion during and after which it starts leading off the rails and falls into distinct character assassination. while many things were cool to look at in later seasons it feels like a travesty to kill a good show the way the writing did.
