All the press coverage for this production says things like, cast and staff studied novels and watched all the Halo cutscenes. IMDB trivia even says that: The show writers and actors went on a "lore bootcamp" hosted at 343 Industries. Where for five days they were given as much Halo backstory, information, mythology, and history as possible. After the bootcamp, many crew members were given additional material to study. Pablo Schreiber is quoted saying the experience was a "shock," and that the full Halo lore was "overwhelming, deep, rich" and "well thought out." They just didn't actually care. A music lawsuit is the biggest of many cuts that makes this a total abortion, without anything coming close to Halo music, no emotional continuity can permeate the show.
