I clicked on the title of this film because it had an a alluring title and a naked woman on the cover, now I should try and limit my exposure to erotic films, because that never does me any good, but I was pleasantly surprised by this film. Strangely enough the first 2/3th of this film is actually a decent slice of life for how Alpine shepherds in the 18th or 19th century would have lived, they migrate their cows, life close together, turn the milk into cheese, etc. All this surrounded in the beautiful scenery of the alps. More interesting is that it's filled to the brim with religious and folk customs straight from Frazier's Golden Bough, they don't only use a bell to yell for protecting from God and the saints, but the shepherds are superstitious and use all kinds of charms for protection. Giving it a strange authentic feel, even though the charms may not be authentic. It's a European horror film, so we do get things like one of the shepherd being a predatory f*g and the last 1/3th is fairly mediocre and uninteresting, with the men accidentally resurrecting a witch in a mock ritual that corrupts Christian verses. This was honestly the more boring part of the film and you get a feeling that genre's where clashing. Oh well, at least it was an interesting watch.
