Alright, another film for my december, 60's horrorthon, this one certainly isn't a a gem, it's just plain fun, never watched this one either, but apparently this film is famous for having no female characters, except the mommy monster at the end and.... It's basically a metaphor for Irish revenge fantasies against the English, a team of English divers and treasure seekers, find a gigantic prehistoric monster on the coastal waters of Ireland and being English, naturally they enslave the monster, put it in a circus and refuse to give it any potatoes. It's mommy, another prehistoric lizard, 10 times bigger, decides to stomp across London, destroying historical landmarks and taking revenge for centuries of Irish suffering. Yes, many Paddy's where no doubt pleased when they saw this film in the cinema.
