Not "New-Age"

I immediately put in the headline, that this is not a "New-Age" film in any sense or measure of the word, this is in fact a completely sincere film about life in and outside the monastery in a small rural area in the Himalaya's. It's an exploration of Buddhism and the native culture of the region, the story of a monk who abandons his monastery to life a worldly life. This is partially a European production, since oriental cultures don't always deal well with realism in their films and literature, the down-side of being a highly religious society, but that doesn't take away from the anthropological study of monastic life and the beautiful romance and drama in the latter half of the film. Interesting, and if you are planning on watching any Non-White film, this is recommended.
