Re-watching this old classic show after many years, what are my impressions after all these years? Well Twin Peaks is still a really good show and a must watch for anyone who wants to view a show in a White rural setting, combined with a police procedural and a paranormal mystery. It deals with a lot of sexual themes, but these never become truly vulgar or grating, which puts it miles above most modern shows. The atmosphere of the entire show is naturally "lynchian", dark, brooding, alienated, introverted, slightly artistic with a host of quirky and charming characters, overall an off-beat kind of show, but also slightly dated, not so much in the plot or the quality, but watching it after all these years, you do get a feeling that this show is not completely timeless. But this is my personal opinion, from having seen this show when I was much younger and now revisiting it, that said, yes watch this for the atmosphere and the characters, because as a straight-up police procedural it does fail, equally less impressed with the paranormal elements, kinda feels cringy now that I am older, but as a character-drama it works wonderfully well.
