Snoozing In Graceland

3.1 Stars It's another film involving Elvis, specifically Elvis and his first wife precilla's relationship. It is boring as you might expect; a slow period piece with lots of quiet moments and fairly consistent decent acting. I don't get why people care enough about Elvis to keep making movies about him, but if you want something to put on in the background and or a film you can talk the whole way through without missing anything, you could probably do a lot worse. I was pretty surprised that there were no glaring moments of ideological framing, woke or other wise, that I picked up on. The film seemed to have a fairly matter-of-fact style of depicting events that kept me from feeling too bogged down in overacting or feeling like I was being held emotionally hostage.
