After infectiously naive cartoon Princess Giselle (Amy Adams - Junebug) is banished by the evil queen and pushed down a magical portal, she emerges from the hole to find herself in the middle of a “real-world” New York City as a “real-life” woman. The royal fish-out-of-water soon meets dreamy divorce lawyer Robert Philip (Patrick Dempsey - Can’t Buy Me Love), but not all is happily ever after when her love from the other side of the portal, Prince Edward (James Marsden - The Notebook), emerges to save her. This delightful comedy is directed by Kevin Lima and written by Bill Kelly.
