Amelia (Essie Davis) is a single mother who is haunted by the violent death of her husband and has to deal with her son Samuel's fear of a monster hiding in their house. When Samuel has Amelia read him a mysterious pop-up book, Amelia begins to believe it too (see, I told you, mom.) Written and directed by Jennifer Kent in her directorial debut.
