In the early days of humankind, strong and resourceful sorceress Tzod (voice of Lucy Lawless - The Changeover) scales a sacred mountain to obtain a powerful blossom but is challenged by the guardian (voice Richard E. Grant - Can You Ever Forgive Me?). In her attempt to talk her way into the forbidden place, Tzod tells the guardian tales of the rise and fall of civilizations corrupted by the flower's magical powers, from prehistoric to the distant future. In this animated fantasy, Tzod's storytelling frames an anthology structure, less connected by narrative than by the theme of the corrupting nature of power and knowledge in the wrong hands.
