Little Danny from The Shining is all grown up, but he’s not over the Overlook Hotel. Dan Torrance (Ewan McGregor - Moulin Rouge!) uses alcohol in an attempt to escape the dark spirits he encountered as a child, and uses his extrasensory power of “shine” to help dying patients at a hospice. But when Abra (Kyliegh Curran), a teenager with the shine, reaches out to him for help, he joins her fight against the True Knot, a cult who consumes the shine of others. And to defeat them, he may have to go back to the last place on earth he’d want to return. Adapted from Stephen King’s novel of the same name.
