Ammonite (2020)Movies

Based, sort of, on the life of antisocial paleontologist and briefly-celebrated fossil hunter Mary Anning (Kate Winslet - Titanic), this chilly period piece is set in 1840s coastal England, where Anning runs a fossil shop and, hard up for cash, is hired to look after jittery, depressed Charlotte (Saoirse Ronan - Lady Bird). After initial clashing, sexual tension pokes through the rain, fog, and fossils. Will they warm to each other or ice each other out?
