What’s your superpower? Akeelah’s (Keke Palmer - Hustlers) is spelling and she’s trying to make it to the national spelling bee with the help of her mentor, Dr. Joshua Larabee (Laurence Fishburn - The Color Purple). Unlike many of the privileged kids she’s up against, Akeelah faces multiple challenges, including an unsupportive family. But that won’t stop her from trying to W-I-N against all odds.
