Look, I don't want to come off as a conservative crank here—even if I *am* a conservative crank, or at least as much of a "conservative" crank as a degenerate Never Trumper can be—but I'll just say that it is ... NOT SURPRISING Film Twitter was falling all over itself to praise a movie in which it is revealed that the antichrist is being bred by the Catholic Church as part of some sort of deranged bene gesserit-style eugenics program to (and this not a joke) "combat secularism" (because the birth of the antichrist will drive people back to the church, you see), and that the heroes of the film—who are, I should remind you, a Catholic priest and a Catholic nun—decide that the only way to save humanity is for a pregnant nun to get an abortion.
